An email confirmation will be sent automatically once an order has completed. Please check any junk filters. If you believe you have placed an order but do not receive an email confirmation, please contact us

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to amend your order, or have made a mistake. If your order has not been shipped, we will of course be able to amend.

You can add a gift bag and gift note to your umbrella order at checkout. We do not offer gift wrap on other items.

Gift cards can only be used Online.

We try to indicate on the product page when the item will be back in stock. If this is not the case, please contact us.

We do not take pre-orders, but you can sign up for an email notification as soon as the item is back in stock. They are then available on a first come, first serve basis.

Yes, and we may be able to offer you a discount on larger orders. Please contact us with your enquiry. 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Union Pay, JCB. We do not accept PayPal.

If your order has arrived damaged or faulty then please contact us immediately. 

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to cancel your order. Please note a 1.9% fee will be deducted from your refund.

Once your order has been despatched, we will be unable to refund the postage cost, and the postage to return your item to us will be deducted from your refund.

Yes. We ship around the world. Our shipping charges can be found on our delivery page.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to Cyprus, Greece, Ukraine, Malta, Russia and in some cases, remote area locations. 

We do not offer Tax Free in our physical stores. If you are ordering online from outside the UK, UK VAT will be deducted at Checkout. Please see our delivery page for more info.

Charges depend on your local customs office and country. Please see our delivery page for more info. If charges are applicable, these must be paid in order to receive your order.

Should you reject your order due to failure or refusal to pay Taxes & Duty and/or Service Charges, your order will be returned to the UK. The return postage cost will be deducted from your refund, in addition to the original postage charge.

In general umbrellas are classified as personal items and allowed as carry on. They can also be checked in. It is best to double check with the Airline first.

Should you be purchasing from one of our London stores and wishing to fly with it, we can give you a travel box (with handle) – please just ask a store staff member.

Almost all our umbrellas can be personalised. A full run down of our personalisation options is available on our Personalisation page.

We can engrave words, a name, initials, a date, a phone number etc. If you have a special request please contact us and we will do our best to accomodate.

We engrave onto the metal tip cup, or collar, of your umbrella which is on the handle. The City Lux Umbrellas can also be embossed onto the leather fastener. Examples can be seen on our personalisation page.

We do not make bespoke one-off / single-unit umbrellas. We do make larger bespoke orders (see below).

We do make specials & corporate umbrellas in larger quantities. If you are interested in this service, please message our bespoke team via our contact us page.

Yes, all our umbrellas come with a 1 year warranty.

If the umbrella is proven to be faulty within that time due to defects in workmanship or materials, we will repair it. After that time a repair charge will apply. Please note we are unable to refund postage on items sent in for repair or back from repair. A 1 year warranty and repair service is only applicable to full priced items. Clearance items are not covered with a warranty.

Please note accidental damage and misuse of an umbrella is not covered by our warranty. Snapped sticks, broken handles and rib damage from use in strong winds, do not constitute a faulty umbrella or frame. All umbrellas dispatched have gone through thorough testing and quality control. Please read the Umbrella Care section for more information on caring for your umbrella.

We are unable to offer warranty service if proof of purchase is not provided. If the umbrella was not bought from ourselves, it would need to be returned to the place of purchase.

Yes. Please note, we can only repair our own umbrellas. To book in your umbrella for repair please use our repairs page.

Each and every umbrella that requires repair is different. We need to inspect the umbrella to give you an accurate cost, and will quote you before commencing any work.

Please note, we do not make money on repairs our aim is to simply get you back up and running. 

We will happily take responsibility for any issues that are down to fault or poor craftsmanship. Such issues generally arise at the beginning of its life which is why we have a 1-year warranty, though there are outliers to any rule.

Our returns and repairs rates are extremely low because we take pride and care in making a quality product. If you follow our tips on Umbrella Care, you will minimise the risk of your umbrella needing attention. That care is the key to making your product last a lifetime.

Before the turn of the century, there were umbrella repairers dotted
throughout London. You would take your umbrella in to be serviced in the same way you would have your shoes fixed and re-heeled. Shoe repairers still exist but umbrella repairers are a thing of the past. Within time even a beautifully made pair of British Brogues may require some attention. The same applies to
our umbrellas. 

We offer a repairs process at the cost of parts/labour as a service to allow our customers to invest in and maintain their umbrella to a high standard. This is also part of our brand dedication to sustainability. We unfortunately cannot be there to guide you throughout the relationship with your umbrella. It is the customer’s responsibility to care for their umbrella, and we aren't able to guarantee issues arising from misuse, accident or wear and tear. 

We can replace Ferrules and Leather Fasteners (and brass parts) by post - please contact us.

We are not able to offer spare ribs, handles or sticks by post. If you require those parts for your umbrella, it will need to be returned to us for repair - see details on our repairs page.

We collate all umbrellas and take them in for repair at the end of each month. From that point it generally takes a further 2-4 weeks depending on when the repair is scheduled in. If we require specific parts that are not in stock, this may take longer. 

We are unaware of any 3rd party umbrella repairers.
